Subansiri and all dams in Arunachal must be converted to sustainable 24x7 dams with natural flow unhindered. The present format of dams holds up water for 20 hours killing the downstream ecology and livelihood of riparian people, creates grave safety issue in a highly seismic region. These dams are not acceptable to people. Developing India needs power 24x7 not just 4 hr. changes as being worked out by MoEF for Uttarakhand dam now must be implemented for all dams.
